I am sure that the 1200 is still available but do not know how it differs from the new 1270. Joseph In a number of VERY important ways... The new 1270 will have a new ink cartridge that, when combined with Epson's heavy matt photo paper, is said to produce a print with a longevity of at least 15 years.. The new 1270 has an ink drop that is about 1/3 smaller than that produced by the 1200. The 1270 can produce an honest-to-God 11x14.... All of which would, IMHO, make it well worth waiting for... B. D.
