Real resolution is the same as the stated resolution.  The human eye uses the
same pattern of receptors, and so the alleged drawback of the CCD with a mosaic
filter in fact closely matches the actual mechanism of human vision.  You don't
need the same chrominance resolution as luminance resolution in any image
intended for human viewing, because you can't see it.
