Not this little black duck.  When asked "Are you an American?" my only
possible answer is "No".  Simply sharing the continent of North America
doesn't make us all Americans.  This appellation is, through common usage,
applied only to citizens of the USA.  Would you expect a citizen of Peru to
answer in the affirmative?  After all they live in South America...
