Yup. The F5 body is 1.9 kg, and the AF-S 28-70 is 0.9 kg. That's six pounds, two ounces. The combination produces beautiful photos--similar in quality to a Leica, except that the extremely high resolution of Leica primes is not attained, obviously (after all, it's a zoom), but it's heavy. In exchange for that, you get a lot of flexibility, plus the usual advantages/disadvantages of an SLR versus a rangefinder. Despite the weight, it is ergonomically very easy and comfortable to handle, particularly the F5 body (but the lens has a wonderful feel to it as well). Obviously, this is not something you conceal under your jacket. -- Anthony
