My favorite lens for a screw Leica is a 50 3.5 Elmar. It can be collapsed
into the body & the camera with lens will fit in your pants pocket & be
carried anywhere (or everywhere!). If you go for a "35", get a black Cannon
or Nikkor screw mount lens. They are liable to be better lenses than any
screw Leica lens you'll find. If you want a Leica "35", you'll need to look
for a good Summaron f3.5, or coated Elmar. You can get a 35 viewfinder that
attaches via the camera shoe, but any added viewfinder will make the camera
less compact.

Thanks for all the help on this. It appears from what you are saying
that I have a IIIc that was factory modified to a IIIf. They guy who
sold it to me advertised it as a IIIf and I suppose technically it isnt,
but I love the camera so I am keeping it. Now, I want to get started
using it, but I need to buy a lens. Would you recommend the 50 mmm
Elmar or the 35 for landscape photography. Also its a 35, what do I do
about the viewfinder image? Thanks for any help on this.
