This does seem to be more of an issue with the complicated viewfinder of the M6, M4-P etc than with the simpler viewfinders. One thing I have found useful is to make sure the front glass of the camera viewfinder is clean- greasy fingermarks make the problem much worse. I did read somewhere about someone using a rubber band to cover one of the glass windows on the front of the camera. Not the most elegant solution perhaps but if it works it might be useful.
