At first I thought you were going to say you used the alcohol from the 
vaporized malt liquor on your breath to clean the lenses which seems to me to 
be the ideal method of not only summoning up sufficient courage to touch the 
Leica glass with anything but also applying the "alcohol" very judiciously.  
Why not give it a try!
