Now that we have the EOS DC2000 (same as the DCS520 but from Canon instead of Kodak) I am quite impressed. Not as good as film, but way closer than before, and a good match for 400 ISO film up to about 5 columns on a newspaper page. Color balance is right on in most situations. But film still is superior, and will continue. So both can coexist just fine, in their own respective best applications. (Digital, fast down and dirty shooting, film, Leica glass welcome!)
