You probably missed my posting a couple of weeks ago, = when someone asked for advice on buying a Leicaflex SL and a 50/2. I = think it=92s best to stay clear of the old 50/2 R because of the = abnormally high levels of flare. I own a single cam from the 60s -- = it=92s sharp, contrasty, and I really like the color transmission -- but = as you mentioned, backlight pictures completely wash out. If you need to = shoot a lot of backlight pictures,you may want to consider buying a 60mm = macro.
