None of the Noctilux shots I seen or ones I took on a borrowed lens 
produced the glowing effect you refer to.  The older Summilux 35 
certainly does at f 1.4.  I returned one and went to the Summicron 
because of it, but if it turns you on go for it.  Bright objects seem to 
radiate, sometimes to the point of washing out.
