(hey, isn't that supposed to be Pop photo's dream lens?) I really like my planar from F2.0 down, but it does not compare to the open performance of the Noctilux....I have tried one my self and duplicated your results. As for comentary about the Noctilux being a little "softer"than a Summicron or Planar when stopped down, I would say thay your Noct will be way sharper at f1.0 and 1/125 than my hand held planar at F 2.0 and 1/30 9 times out of 10.
