Then, I got one of those nice 5 reel Gepe tanks with straight sides ( this was 25 years ago, and Bob Salomon says they don't carry them anymore!), and used if with D-76! Believe it or not, the continuous agitation, possibly because it is so gentle, made no noticable change in the contrast or density of my negs! Also- since our town is on a level two water restriction, it's nice to know that using the uniroller with four complete changes of water, five to 8 minutes rolling perchange, I get negatives that do not show fixer residue using the potassium permanganate fixer test! I imagine the JOBO is a suoped up, modern version of this. When I did Ektacolor I put my solutions in 125ml Erlenmyer flasks, and set them on a Corning ware loaf pan warmed with an aquarium heater! Thanks again for your help- and if something interesting develops ( pun intended) I'll post it on my website! P.S.- Does your winder fit on an M3? I noticed a definite difference in the size of , say my IIIa, and the IIIc, but never thought to check the bottom of my M3 with an M6! will that little 'basket' turn the M3 spool? Dan dwpost@msn.com
