Hi Joe,

I love mine also, so much so that I still keep it even though I have
the two
new 35mm lenses. One of these days, maybe I will get the 50 Elmar
and the thin Tele-Elmarit for the ultimate light weight compact Leica M
     system.

Regarding the prices, if you buy from a "reputable" dealer, you may
have to pay $900, If you shop around a bit (i.e., e.g., if you watch
patiently
for the Friday LUG sales), you will be able to buy from a reputable LUG
member for much less than that. I chose one way, you did the other, no
     harm done.

And to Michael Garmisa, regarding prices for 35 Summicron RF/Summaron
RF, I have no idea. Sorry.

Gee, Phong,
I don't know. I don't buy and sell, but my 35 f2.0 was $900.00 from Don
Chatterton a few months ago. I saw similar prices at the time. The lowest
I've seen was $795.00. It's a beautiful little lens that is said by expert
testers to hold its own with its aspheric cousins once you close the f stop
to about f4. I love mine and use it a lot.
Sincerley,

Hi Joe, Gary, Dawn & other Luggers
     $900 for a non-asph 35mm f/2.0 sounds high to me. I would say
it shouldn't be more than $700-$750.
