It's an adapter to mount Viso 2/3 lenses to the Leicaflex body. It is 
a single-cam body mount. I have one and it fits an R8.  Metering 
in both the aperture priority and manual modes responds as the lens 
diaphragm is opened or closed. So you are viewing through the working 
aperture.
