Thanks for the information.

Have you actually held the German version?  Four ounces seems to be a big
weight reduction.  Which would you prefer?

<< The newer German version is optically the same as the older Canadian model.
 but they have changed the mechanics somewhat, managing to reduce the weight
 by 4 ounces (roughly).
