There is a ONE week exhibition on B&W photos taken during the era of
Imperial China (late 1800s to early 1900s) by a French photographer.

The exhibition is at Francaise Alliance, 1 Sarkies Road (near the Newton
MRT station), open daily 10am-5pm. Closed on Sundays.

The pictures are mainly of street scenes, portraits, daily life, classical
theatre and acrobats. For those who have a stomach for the gory, there are
also a couple of beheading shots taken just before the actual execution of
the ill-fated.
