I bought one for 40 pounds (knowing it was reading 2 stops under on the exposure) and now it doesn't read at all... But it still works at the flash sync speed, so if you want 'the cheapest Leica', for 40 pounds its still cheap... Others (R3s) can run and run but if you wish for greater reliability I'd choose the 'workhorse' Leicaflex SL, found frequently (if worn) at 200 pounds (and up) it has not got the inherant problems that the R3 suffered from. Another bonus is that the 2 cam lenses are generally cheaper than the later 3 cam versions. Jem
