Subject: Re: [Leica] M6 or R6.2

R series are single len reflex cameras (R6.2 is one of them) . M series
are range-finder cameras (M6 is one of them). They are very different in
terms of usage.

R camera uses R lens. M camera uses M lens.

In R, you get what you see from the viewfinder. In M, the viewfinder
usually shows more than your picture frame. In addition, M focusing is
done by merging the split images in the center box.

All in all, R is more versatile than M because of more len selections (a
lot more) and more accessories. On the other hand, M's quietness and
small size enhance superb mobility.

Since both series are good, key is to pick up the one that suit your
needs.

Knowing that the above differences may be too brief, hope I did not
further confuse you. Best to do is to go to a local dealer and play with
them.

Enjoy.
Ben
