I photographed a model at dawn a couple of days ago with my two M6s (regular and HM). I loaded both up with film, and when one was used up, I switched to the other. Well, under these circumstances I really noticed the difference. It is one thing casually comparing the two versions at a counter in a store, where one might conclude that there really isn't that much difference, but when you grab a camera and start photographing without stopping to consider the viewfinder, the HM is really an improvement. Both framing and focusing seemed much more intuitive. Towards the end of the shoot, I loaded only the HM, and kept the older M6 in the bag. I also put my first small ding onto the top plate of my HM! ;-( I guess now I can stop babying it and use it the way it should be used! ;-) Dan C.
