Subject: [Leica] M3 on the street

LUGgers:

This morning was softly overcast so I decided that the light was nice for
some color shots at the Farmer's Market her in Flint, MI.

My usual camera choice would be an M2/4/6 with a 35mm. Today, on a whim I
grabbed my wife's M3 and a DR Summicron and old 90 Elmarit. After carefully
threading my way around the Crim Road Race mobs I found the light to be
perfect at the market. The main area is an open sided, covered, but
skylighted building.

The real revelation for me was using the M3! I never thought that the near
life-size image would matter much. I was WRONG! For some (intangible)
reason I seemed able to compose and focus faster with this body.

The M2 has always be my favorite M body. I'm going to do some more shooting
with the M3 and see if I change my mind.

Cheers!
