There are M photographers and R photographers and mixed. There are street
photographers and landscape photographers and mixed. To some an M2 + 35/2
is a lightweight kit. To some an R8 and 400/2.8 is a lightweight kit.
Everything is relative. Relative as to what kind of photography one usually
does, and relative to what equipment one normally takes along on an
escapade. Had I said 19mm and 135mm as the short and long, would you have
the same reaction? What I am going to take to Europe will cover all of the
things I want to photograph, in the manner that I want to photograph them.
If you haven't experienced a 15/3.5 Super Elmar, you wouldn't understand. M
people slobber over the Noctilux. To R people, the 15mm Super Elmar is like
manna from heaven. Experience is the best teacher. I may replace the 100
APO and 180/2.8 with my 70-180. Two for one. So then it would be four
lenses. 15, 28, 50, 70-180. Is that better?
