There are of I'm curious about how the author of this text could think that any good might come out of posting an affront like this on the LUG. .... Knowing that there are people who will reach out from halfway across the world to deride years of your work is no incentive to go to the trouble. As my mother told me, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I don't think that Christian had any intention for anything good to come out of this. His ruthless display of his own (allegedly "radical personal") opinion (better "cynical regurgitation") is a pitiful exercise of self-importance or an example of a misguided "Berliner Schnautze". He might think to be honest or funny. Go figure! I would like to know Christian's credentials that qualifies him to be that critical of Eric's pictures and I would like to know what suggestions Christian could render to Eric (and to all of us LUGs) to become a better photographer? I happen to think that Eric's pictures have that "decisive moment" and every time they tell a story. When Ted Grant rendered his critique last year in Kennebunkport he was very blunt and specific, and therefore most helpful. But then .... I guess Ted's mother taught him the same values that Shawn's and my mother taught us (or is it your lovely wife, Ted, that keeps you polite [most of the time]?) Jorg Willems
