And the idiots on TV, such as Joan Lunden who was grievously guilty on this point, kept calling them "press photographers." Believe me, on the NPPA list legitimate press photographers were telling stories for months of police, public and even small children abusing them, spitting on them, accusing them of murder because of Diana. Legitimate press photographers. So no wonder I react when people keep trying to pass along the same old accusation.
