It seems to be fine, now. My second M6 (#222, etc.) so far is working fine, but in fairness I may not have put as much film through them as others might have, although I exercise them regularly as I have always done with mechanical cameras. By comparison, my 32 year old M2 has never been CLA'd (shame on me!) but is functioning 100% (including the frame counter which resets perfectly--of course, I have to remember to do it!). If there are problems with the M6 which are caused by quality control slip-ups and they can be fixed (hopefully under Passport) and will never recur, this is perhaps an embarrassment for Leica but not a major disaster. On the other hand, if these problems are a result of cheapened design and materials, and will malfunction and require service continually, this is an entirely different and ominous situation. Doc
