I have had two Leica lenses of late '50's vintage, a 35mm f/2.8 Summaron RF
and a 50mm Summicron rigid chrome, with fogging problems (be it bad
lubricant or an antiquated coating).  Of course, it was only after 35 yrs
before the problem appeared.
