Hi - Right on! Because people treat this as an investment rather than a camera, it's getting to be something one keeps on a shelf (or maybe a bank!!) rather than use, and that's a pity. Of all the suggestions I've been reading, the one absolutely MUST fix (it's more than an improvement, it's got to be a FIX. Let's face it, Leica has a poor design) is the viewfinder. There's no excuse why someone should have to buy a pair of contact lenses in order to use a $2.8K camera plus lens (K$'s more) camera for lenses of focal length <35 mm. C'mon Leica get with it! The other comments about the light meter are also good. I find that the operating range of the light meter is too limited. On some of my available light photos, I find it a lot easier to use a good separate light meter. Here's another one. Why the heck do they have that flapping back panel on the M6? It's as if finding a place to put the light meter electronics was an afterthought. There are all those fragile electrical contacts there. Why put this stuff on the back panel? Most important suggestion: Don't change the lens mount. Whatever you do, I want my investment in Leica lenses to be transferable. -- Wolfgang Sachse =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Wolfgang Sachse Cornell University sachse@msc.cornell.edu http://www.msc.cornell.edu/~sachse =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
