This week goes back to the middle of 2024 and is from random walks around south Austin. The first is from Big Stacy park along the creek where a tree is suffering from an infestation. When I was very young we used torches to burn out these infestations in my grandfathers pecan orchard: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/infestation_001.jpg.html This is a defunct juniper on the Texas Capitol grounds: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/twisted+in+the+winds+of+Texas.jpg.html Last is a bit of humor about planting trees to save the planet: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/two+ways+to+sequester+carbon.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
