Austin has done a decent job of preserving the spaces around the various waterways in the city. This first image is from a trail that circles Lady Bird Lake. For our non USA members Lady Bird was the familiar name for LBJ's wife whose family wealth allowed LBJ to become what he did: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/life+is+easy+next+to+the+lake.jpg.html West of Johnson City is a very rare entity for Texas: a National Park dedicated to the early LBJ period including a recreation settlement village: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/wildflowers+and+trees+at+LBJ+national+park.jpg.html Back inside Austin, this tree possibly predates the creation of Austin: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/Witness+to+much+of+Austin_s+history.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
