Here is a tulip from Judy?s garden. Tulips do not do so well in her garden. 
It has nothing to do with her skill as a gardener or with her garden. It is 
the squirrels. They eat them in whikesale quantities. This purple tulip and 
a its neighboor which is also purple are the only ones which have survived. 
I have no explanation other than that our squirrels simply do not like the 
taste of purple!
