[Leica] IMGx3: Moss gets everywhere

** Built in the 1830s by the De Vesci family of wealthy nobles when the 
railway arrived in Monkstown, this graceful terrace of ten large 
properties, in the Regency style, all have a mews at the rear to keep 
your horse and carriage should you happen to have one. The big bonus for 
living in these, still much in demand, houses is the large four and a 
half acre private shared garden to the front with its tennis club and 
children's playground. Of course, there are sea views too.

Here's a view of the length of the terrace - note the coat of arms 
(supporters, shield and motto) that stand astride the mid-terrace pediment.

Unfortunately, as can be seen in this closer shot, this has deteriorated 
a fair bit during the past 190 years.

Aside from the weather, and its close proximity (200 metres) to the sea 
and seaspray, the local bird life find it a great place to admire the 
view. They leave mementos. Moss seems to like that.

The photos 1 & 3 were taken with my Sony A7ll and Sony FE Zoom 28-70, 
but photo 2 was taken with the Sonnar FE 55/1.8

For those of you, who like me, are not experts in heraldry, here's 
something about the heraldry of the De Vesci family and what you're 
seeing in the photographs
Arms: Or on a Cross Sable a Patriarchal Cross of the field.
Supporters: On either side a Figure of Hercules clad in a Lion's Skin 
and holding a Club over the exterior shoulder proper.
Motto: Sub Hoc Signo Vinces (Under this sign thou shalt conquer)
