Back in the 1960s, thousands of these giant creepy-looking fiberglass men
were sold to businesses all over the USA. A lot of them are still around
today, often repurposed by new businesses that have inherited them. They are
known as "Muffler Men" because many originally stood outside muffler shops.

This one stands along I-69, a few miles west of Muncie, Indiana.
