Just idle wondering, how many people still have their first Leica? and if
>you still have it, is it one of those "I will never sell my first love, or
>any Leica", or "I can let it go, but why?"
>
I received my first Leica from my Dad. It was the 60's and he and I went
down to Willoughby's Camera
"The World's Largest Camera Store". Little did I know that working as a
salesman there would see me through college.
I had wanted a Leica for many years and I finally was the owner of a used
IIIc. I believe the cost at that time
was $50.00. Do I still have it? You bet I do. It needs a CLA, but I would
never let it go. It probably means more to me than
all the myriad other cameras I own and have owned since that time. Roger
