My first Leica was an M3 d/s with a 50mm 1.5 Summarit, purchased new in
about 1960 with money I earned from my after school job working at Don
Wright Photo (Done Right by Don Wright), the only Leica Dealer in Rock
Island, Illinois.

That served me very well for a number of years but I don't remember when it
left me.  It was probably sold when I became divorced.
