Hi there ?

While attending West Texas State University, at mid-semester of 1964 the
yearbook was 100 pages short of content.

Concurrently, the WTSU Baptist Student Union was planning to take more than
50 students to a pilgrimage to Mexico. I suggested that would make a great
feature in the yearbook.

It was on this journey that I met Dr. James Dunn. We remained close friends
until his death.

Most of the days were planned, but during one of the free days I walked
into the town. En route, this lady was passing one on the numerous pubs.
She knew I wanted to take her picture so she wrapped her shawl over her
head to hide her face.

In doing so, she became universal, representing all of Mexico?s women in
similar circumstances.
