Subject: [Leica] Nathan's PAD 14/2/2020: lens testing

Yesterday I put the 90mm Leica Tele-Elmarit on my Panasonic GX80, thus
mixing technologies 50 years apart. I wanted to see how well I could focus
this lens manually at close distances and wide apertures.

I first tried just a shot of my desk, at f2.8 and the minimum focusing
distance of 1 meter:

But then I decided to look for more interesting test subjects, and as usual,
my Greek colleague Eri was a willing victim. This is also at around 1 meter,
but I did close down one stop to f4:

I think the GX80 is a good platform for this lens, one of my favourite Leica
lenses.

Cheers,
Nathan
