couldn't check while I was at work. But now I'm home, and have studied
the message log. Message 356CF8CE-DDC9-4F25-85F8-45342DA21260 at att.net
arrived at the LUG server with the mysterious subject line. The
alteration had already happened by the time it reached leica-users.org
My best guess after analyzing the logs is that the scrambling took place
inside a Yahoo ("Oath") mail relay system in Portland, Oregon. I have no
idea why.
In case anyone cares, here is the postmark log information for the
mutated message:
