I took images, downloaded them into their own folder ( call it DOG ) , and imported them into my main catalog in LR Classic CC, on my desktop. I use 1 big Catalog. I wish to edit the images on my laptop. so I exported only the DOG images and catalog . EXPORT with CATALOG. Worked fine, and images now are on my Laptop. All is good.. But now I notice that the exported images are no longer on my desktop... The DOG folder is empty as it appears on the LR file locations. Not quite what I wanted to do. I wanted them to stay put on the desktop and also be on my Laptop.. Either Laptop or Desktop could edit. And then, at a later date, merge them. Is this the way the export with catalog is supposed to work? I guess what I expected is that the images would be COPIED, so that they would be on both Laptop and Desktop. Is it possible to do what I wish? What commands should I have used? How can I do the merge, assuming this all works the way I wish? Frank Filippone Red735i at verizon.net
