I flew to Brussels this afternoon for an all-day meeting tomorrow. When I landed, the weather was just horrible, as it often is here at this time of year. I tried to make the best of it, photographically, while walking to a meeting at the European Commission in late afternoon.

These two images are examples of making a silk scarf of sow?s ear. The last one is an example of the importance of having a camera around at all times. After the meeting at the Commission I stopped by Kitty O?Shea?s, my favourite watering hole in the EU quarter. On the way out, I photographed this delightful couple:
