Hi Folks,

After several suggestions that the flying fluffy creatures were
Cottonwood seeds, I compared the online photos of Cottonwood seeds with
what I saw, and there were subtle differences.? So, a few minutes ago, I
grabbed one as it flew by me.? While the white fibers were almost
invisible in my hand, at the center was a squirming black insect
resembling a tiny "sugar ant".? I continue to search online, but have
found nothing.? Here is the originally posted image.? If anyone has a
tip, please let me know.
