My neighbor, Shirley, grows Coreopsis flowers each year, and I always
check them out for visiting insects. This small bee or wasp was
competing with much larger Carpenter bees.

My Manhattan border hedge has just been trimmed, but a few of the tiny
blooms remain. This colorful Trichopoda Fly was checking them out.

Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated.
