It?s a city that compels people with cameras, or not, to walk around gawking at the sights ? especially those of us from the New World. I?ve been fairly busy with my new travel gear, a Sony a7rII FF EVIL camera with 24-70 mm zoom. It?s a replacement for my beloved NEX-7, a veteran of much travel, tragically lost a year ago at the end of my last trip to Europe. Like the NEX, the alpha has a battery compartment on the right that makes a bulge that allows the camera, secured by a wrist strap, to dangle effortlessly from the fingertips while walking, inconspicuous and ready in an instant. Unlike the NEX, the best that can be said about its size and weight is that it?s smaller and lighter than any FF DSLR, but for me it works well. IF ONLY Sony would put that lovely 35 mm Zeiss lens built into its RX1 into an alpha mount...
