Subject: [Leica] Two brand new ways for a Leica to fail

Got to a shoot yesterday to find that:

1) my entire shutter release assembly had uncscrewed itself in the bag
leaving a gaping hole in the top plate of my camera

and

2) my battery, while more than half charged, had gone into some mode
whereby it needed to be connected to a charger momentarily to "reset" it.
The result was a strange array of things that the battery would allow power
to and other things that the battery would not allow power to.
