Back when I started my own stock licensing company in 1980, the lowest
price I would consider for stock usage of any kind was $250. Textbook
companies often paid over $1000 for a cover photo for one year's lease.
Then they would renew it every year they want to use the photo.

Times have changed. Alamy (one of the several agencies I now lease
through) just licensed a photo of childbirth, model-released, for the
following usage:

Country: Lithuania
Usage: Editorial
Media: Editorial website
Industry sector: Media, design & publishing
Image Size: Any size
Start: 01 October 2015
End: 01 October 2020
Online usage only. Bulk discount

Their price for 5 years' license was $5.37. My cut is $1.61. Guess I can
retire anytime now!!!
