I watched it when far more photogs used Leica M's than Canon F1's to their
taking over in the 90's and then Nikon bouncing back I

These guys say Canon "dominates" but then quotes the DSLR figures as
Canon 54.7
Nikon 39.1
Mark does the math!:
54.7-39.1 =15.6

lympus-and-nikon-stutters/<

15.6 don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world.

I mention it because yesterday I shot the Columbus Day Parade and lots of
these photographers got a special pass to be walking down the street with
all the marching bands and floats as if they are part of the parade itself
Only they are grabbing shots. So I saw these photogs and the parade wasn't
so interesting so I did a lot of focusing on them checking out thier gear as
I have some new Nikon glass and wanted to see what they were using. Most of
their lenses had a gold band around the outside meaning they are perhaps
designed for more serious use nobody really knows. Then I realized
everything I'd been looking at for an hour was Nikon year. Not one
photographer out of say 33 I'd seen had one of those ugly Canon cameras.
Then one went by who did.
So inquiring Rabs wants to know...
Did Nikon pay off somebody? How would that be really possible?!?
When that Canon guy went by (he went by twice) I felt great empathy for him
poor guy.
Did Nikon take over when I wasn't looking?
My above figures from the url if they are to be trusted says its the same
way It was a few years ago. This parade says differently.
Normally wen you Bing or Google Canon Nikon Market Share you don't get jack.
This time I got at least this url.
