I didn't shoot as much LF, but I liked using the 6 sheet Grafmatics. Went I went to Maine for the UPAA Symposium in 1989, in addition to my Leica, Olympus and Realist 3D gear, I took two Grafmatics for my Speed Graphic (with Tessar & Verito lenses), and they saved a lot of space that holders would have taken up. But wouldn't you know, when I was set up for my first shot on the beach at Acadia National Park, the springs on the back of the camera snapped. I did all my 4x5 shooting holding the ground glass and Grafmatics against the body with my fingers, hoping there were no light leaks. I got away with it. I still have the 6 sheet holders, plus one of the 12 sheet versions (with the leather bag that allows the septums to be manipulated). -- Alan Alan Magayne-Roshak, Senior Photographer University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Photo Services (Retired) UPAA Photographer of the Year 1978 UPAA Master of the Profession 2014 amr3 at uwm.edu http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/ "All the technique in the world doesn't compensate for an inability to notice.
