I took a minute to look back at my records.
I am a bit masochistic, I have every invoice for every Leica purchase
stored in a folder. To look over & lament, I suppose.
Over the years, I visited Don several times.
He was only a couple of hours south of me.
I bought 3 bodies (M3, M4-P & M6), and 6 lenses (several versions of 35
& 50 'crons & a 90 TE), and an uncountable number of body & lens caps.

He was great to deal with, and always gave me a very good trade in &
price, along with a new story about Leica every time I visited.

He & Jim Kuehl were the last of their kind...
