I can send you links to a rough comparison of S2 /Mamiya 300mm f2.8 APO 
(with and without 2x) compared to R9/DMR with 280mm f4 APO (1993 model, with 
and without 1.4x APO), I may take another look at the adapter but I now have 
Leica S 180mm as well as the Mamiya...

OK, I never realised that the focussing pitch caged from 3 cam to ROM. My 
copy is indeed an older 3 cam version S/N 36589XX, manufactured 1994.
