Fascinating family history?

Thank you for sharing it.

I won't wish you a "happy" birthday?
though I will raise my coffee cup, and remove my cap, in honor of the
anniversary your birth
and
your father's passing?

My father's father, a democratic socialist - by all accounts - also came
from that part of Eastern Europe.
George Lottermoser's immigration papers state his nationality as Russian.
My father was investigated during the McCarthy 50's - due to the combination
of his union membership and his father's country of origin.

I too have an FBI dossier - which I received a copy of through the Freedom
of Information Act - though due more to my activism during the 60s and 70s
than to my paternal lineage.

Regards,
George Lottermoser
