After the first chick left the second chick also did a "fly walk" around the 
edge of the nest:

But she decided not to fly and settled back down in the nest - it had a lot 
more room with just one chick in it:

Mama flew in to feed the single chick:

who took a full feed without any competition from the former sibling:

After feeding Mama started to pull feathers out of the nest - some tough 
love going on:

and Mama flew away, leaving single chick to ponder her future:

Over the night she must have decided because this morning when I went back

nest was empty:
