[Leica] PESO: intruders in the pool - what can be done?

How about a noise gun?  In the orchards around here, some people have some 
sort of big air gun that they fire off periodically to drive the birds from 
the cherry crop.  A big cylinder with like a stretchable drum head on one 
end.   Pull back and let er rip.  Boom and  blast of air.  I might think you 
could make one, and even with out the noise, bake a big blast of air that 
might discourage them.

Ducks, a pair of mallards I think.
